A pair of blue and white dishes, one over-decorated in Holland in the 18th century. Both decorated to the centre in underglaze blue with a flowering plant by a rock and with four similar subjects at 45 degrees. The back with dark brown, 'Batavia ware' glaze. The over-decorated dish with added details in the Kakiemon style: reeds and tigers.
Condition: good. Some rubbing to the overglaze red.
Kangxi period (1662-1722), the over-decoration later, ca mid 18th century.
