Red and white European subject plate

A plate decorated in overglaze red and gilt with a central scene of a river landscape with in the foreground a Dutch draw bridge and behind what appears to be a Venetian gondola. The border moulded in pomegranate shaped panels with birds and flowers.

Condition: restored hairline crack.

Kangxi period (1662-1722).
