Ascension of Christ Milk Jug

A milk jug decorated en Grisaille with the ascension of Christ, taken from an European print. This jug would have been part of a tea set commonly including a teapot, tea caddy, six tea bowls and saucers, a spoon tray, teapot stand and slop bowl.

Condition: restorations to breaks in handle, restored chip to cover and a sealed hairline.

Qianlong period (1736-1795).
