Klapmuts bowl



A blue and white 'klapmuts' bowl decorated to the exterior with two main scenes of figures in a courtyard and garden between which poems. The interior with three playing boys to the centre and panels of peaches to the rim between swastikas. Marked to the base with the six character reign mark for Chenghua.

Condition: sealed hairline from rim of circa 10 cm and a small restored rim chip.

Kangxi period (1662-1722).
